MISSION STATEMENT
Rooted In Blackness (RIB) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering African American-identified youth in Lane County to navigate their path to a successful future. Our mission is to create spaces where students can express themselves, provide academic and outreach opportunities, and work hand in hand with families, schools, and community partners to enhance the quality of life for each student.
OUR VISION
At RIB, we envision a future where every African American youth in Lane County feels valued, represented, and equipped with the tools needed to overcome challenges and succeed in life. We believe that a strong foundation rooted in their cultural identity is essential for their personal and academic growth.
